PUBLIC SPACES (noun)
Public spaces are shared common spaces. They are open to all. They can be public property or private property that is designed to be generally open to all. Public spaces can be restricted and regulated, but we must ask whether these restrictions are always justified and challenge them when they are not. Our vision of public spaces also includes the public visual landscape of the city, which can be diminished by aggressive and illegal advertising.
