Executive Committee to Consider New Naming and Recognition Policies

The Toronto Public Space Initiative will depute in front of Executive Committee this coming Monday regarding the proposed policy changes that would expand and expedite the ongoing sale of our public space names to the highest bidder. The new policies would put iconic spaces and squares, parks, and even streets up for grabs. In our opinion, if passed, the new policies would dramatically weaken community consultation requirements and allow virtually any corporation to name your park or children’s playground.

Have you say! Come out and join us by making a short 5 minute deputation to the committee and tell them what you think.
