About Cassandra Alves

As an aspiring designer and current Urban Design Master’s student, Cassandra has always had an interest in the positive growth of Toronto’s urban development. Born and raised in downtown T.O and graduate from OCADU, she was always drawn to projects related to improving the city’s public spaces and initiatives in sustainable development. After contributing work to Project Neutral, The Stop Community Centre and Greenhere, it was evident pursuing Urban Design was a route worth exploring. A passion for travelling combined with an interest in gaining an international design perspective; Cassandra found herself studying abroad at Lund University in Malmö, Sweden. With various study trips to Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, Sweden and Denmark, tag along on her journey as she documents public spaces throughout Europe and highlights what Torontonians can gain from an international perspective in urban design.
